USPS requires EDDM pieces to meet specific size criteria:

• Minimum size: 6.125″ x 11″ or more than 10.5″ in length (longer dimension) and at least 3.5″ in height.
• Maximum size: 12″ x 15″.

Popular sizes for EDDM postcards and flyers include:

• 6.5″ x 9″
• 6.25″ x 11″
• 8.5″ x 11″
• 9″ x 12″
• 8.5″ x 14″
• 11″ x 17″ (often folded).

Paper Requirements

USPS recommends durable paper for EDDM to prevent damage during handling. Common choices:

• Paper Weight:
  • 80 lb or 100 lb cover stock for postcards.
  • 70 lb or 80 lb text stock for flyers.
• Finish Options:
  • Matte or Glossy (Glossy is ideal for vibrant images; matte for readability).
  • UV coating for extra protection and shin
